GPS Tracking - Case History

OVAG Limited has the latest GPS/GSM tracking equipment which is capable of tracking up to 1000 beacons at the same time. This technology was recently used by a major logistics company delivering goods throughout the country who believed they were suffering major losses through false payroll and overtime claims.

OVAG operators fitted beacons to several vehicles operating from the same depot and within a week had identified not only false claims for overtime payment, but also established that vehicles had deviated from designated routes and had not been left in overnight secure parking areas.

The information gained from the beacons enabled the firm to dismiss several drivers on grounds of dishonesty and falsifying drivers' records. The company estimated that the saving was in excess of £300,000. All this was achieved without the necessity of using a conventional surveillance team, thereby making a considerable saving on the investigation costs.
